What is FRET?

Have you ever wondered how tiny molecules can transfer energy to each other? F?rster Resonance Energy Transfer (FRET), a concept first introduced by Theodor F?rster in 1948, offers a fascinating mechanism for energy transfer between closely spaced molecules.

This non-radiative process, mediated by dipole-dipole interactions, holds a pivotal role in various scientific disciplines, underscoring its broad and significant applications.

To learn more about FRET, check out our recent blog in the Spectral School series.
