The 6th Edinburgh Instruments Products User Meeting

From November 9th to November 13th, 2018, Techcomp (China) Limited successfully held the 6th Seminar on Steady State / Lifetime Fluorescence Spectroscopy and Edinburgh Instruments Product User Meeting in Wuhan, Hubei Province, China. There were more than 100 experts and scholars from different fields or regions attend this event. During the event, more than 126 research papers and 26 articles are presented. The academic atmosphere is warm and enthusiastic, and the event is unprecedented.
Ms. Zhang Hairong , Vice President of Techcomp China, Dr. Roger Fenske, CEO of Edinburgh Instruments, Dr. Dirk Nather, Head of R&D, Edinburgh Instruments, UK, and Mr. Zhang Xuan, Spectroscopy Application Engineer, Techcomp China attended this seminar and user meeting.
The meeting was hosted by Ms. Zhang Hairong , Vice President of Techcomp China and delivered an opening speech. She introduced the establishment of Techcomp since 1988, the company development, the global positioning and the acquisition of the UK based Edinburgh Instruments in 2013, to a unified concept of Techcomp, to help scientific research, service industry innovation, caring for human health and creating a better life. Techcomp manufacturing in scientific instrument will move forward. Dr. Roger Fenske, CEO of Edinburgh Instruments, also introduced Edinburgh Instruments and its products.

During the conference, it was honoured to invite scholars and experts from all over the country to give their speech and presentation. Professor Yang Chulu from Wuhan University, Professor Su Shijian from South China University of Technology, Professor Wu Dayu from Changzhou University, Zhang Zhijun from Shanghai University, and Wang Xiang from Xiamen University, Professor Ma Ying from the Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Mr Ma’en Senior Engineer of the Institute of Rare Earth Materials, Xiamen Institute of Rare Earth Materials, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Associate Professor Ma Jiani from Northwest University, Professor Zhang Qun from University of Science and Technology of China, Senior Engineer Chen Mingxing of Analytical Testing Center of Peking University, Associate Professor Qin Haiyan from Zhejiang University and Professor Li Zhen of Wuhan University, 12 scholars and experts have all present their excellent speech. At the same event, Dr. Roger Fenske, CEO of Edinburgh Instruments and Dr. Dirk Nather, Director of R&D, and Mr. Zhang Xuan, Application Engineer of Techcomp China, introduced the recent research, hot application that coupling of high-end accessories as well as new products.

During the meeting, scholars and experts actively asked questions about the contents of the presentation and exchanged experiences on the use of instruments. During the coffee break, they visited the posters presentations.
At the meeting, Techcomp China also signed a signing ceremony with Xiamen University to establish a scholarship award, expressing the will and determination of Techcomp (China) to help scientific research.
A total of 126 research papers were collected and presented in this event. Distinction, Excellence and Premium papers were awarded according to the influence factor, relevance with Edinburgh Instruments and the total number of articles. In addition, 26 poster presentation were collected and exhibit during the user meeting and gained much attention from the participants. Award on wall presentation was selected and delivered to the best poster for their support to the event, Edinburgh Instrument and Techcomp China. Techcomp China will always move forward to help scientific research and providing users with quality services.
